Most of us, who are alive and breathing, are constantly surrounded by social networking. We have websites that help us track our friends, community events, and allow us to tell the world what we’re doing minute by minute (”just cooked breakfast” “just ate breakfast” etc etc). To compound the confusion, society also equates the notion of “social” as non-business. We have our social lives and we have our professional lives. By these definitions, Social Networking is getting less social by the day. Real companies are spending and generating real money by using websites and technology that was developed for non-business purposes.
